Proof That Christ Has Only One Church

Proposition: The Church of Christ is the only Church Jesus Christ is married to, bears children by, and is coming to take home at the Second Coming.

Prophecy declared Christ would establish His church in the days of a World Kingdom-

Daniel 2:44 The Church of Christ is the ONLY church that started when a

WORLD Kingdom was in existence. A World Kingdom is a kingdom that rules the

whole world. There have been four-the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian, and

Roman. The Church started in the days of the Roman Caesars!! No other religious

can make this claim, not even the Roman Catholic. Constantine WAS NOT a

World King!! Constantine was the ruler that started the Roman Catholic Church, he

her first Pope (Latin for Papa) in 314 AD at the Council of Nicea (check your history)

All denominations (denomination means to divide from) sprang from the Roman

Catholic Church years later!!

Prophecy declared that the Church would begin in Jerusalem. Isa. 2:2-4, Micah 4:2

The Church of Christ is the ONLY religious institution, today and ever, that began

in the city of Jerusalem!! Luke 24:47-49, Acts 1:4-5, 2:1-4. The Roman Catholic

church started in Nicea, 314AD and headquartered in Rome in 606AD when

Boniface III was declared the first Pope of Rome.

The Church of Christ cost the blood of the Son of God!! Acts 20:28 God is the name

of a nature, not a person. Christ is the ONLY God who ever housed Himself in a

human body!! John 1:14 God the Father and the Holy Spirit NEVER were in a body

therefore, never had any blood. The Church of God IS the Church of the God who

had a body in which there was blood, this was/is Christ. Constantine started the

catholic Church to keep his political power. She DID NOT cost him his life!! No

denomination from Catholicism cost their founder his/her life!!

The Church is the BRIDE OF CHRIST, Ephesians 5:23-25, Romans 7:4, Revelations

19:7-10 The wedding ring is the Lord’s Supper, it reminds us of our oaths, of the price paid for our existence, and that Christ DIED in our stead. The Church of Christ is

Commanded to participate in the remembrance EVERY SUNDAY!! Matthew 26:28,

Acts 2:42, 20:7, 1 Corinthians 11:23-28 A bride wears the name of the Groom!!, Church of Christ! Anytime you visit a church and the Lord’s Supper is not present

You are not in the right church!!

The Church of Christ is the ONLY church that started with ONLY Jews as members!!

NO denomination EVER had a Jew as a member (as God qualified a person being a

Jew). All the apostles were Jews; all the apostles belonged to the Church of Christ!!

Gentiles were not invited into the Church of Christ for 10 years. (see Acts 10) The

Church of Christ is NOW the “Israel of God”, Galatians 6:16. We are not cultists, we

are Christians as defined by the New Testament!!.

The Church of Christ has NO creed, prayer-book, manual, catechism, or other documents written by men that we follow!! We demand the verbally, inerrant,

Inspired, Word of God. We know it to be written ONLY by the apostles of Christ

Who “wrote as the Spirit directed”. John 16:13, Jude verse 3, 1 Corinthians 2:10-14,

2 Peter 2:16-20. No member, leader, church official, or any other can or will be

Allowed to change, alter, correct, construe, devise alternate meaning to, or add to the writings of the apostles of the 1^st century. We accept NO writings written AFTER the 1^st century concluded, for all the apostles were dead!!

The people of the Church of Christ are not perfect, we sin, shamefully, but the

Doctrine is flawless; it is from God, straight from Heaven!! Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians

2:10-16, Galatians 1:6-11, 2 John verses 8-10 We make NO apology for our strong, defiant stand for a “thus saith the Lord”, a demand for a book, chapter, and verse, for everything we believe and practice!! We practice NO man-made religious holy days, i.e. Christmas, Easter, or any special day. Galatians 4:10-11. We KNOW we are saved for Christ ADDED US TO HIS CHURCH!! Acts 2:47

We preach faith as a prerequisite to membership, and this faith MUST come from hearing the Bible, and it alone, taught. Romans 10:17 Belief in the only begotten Son of God, as taught in the inspired Word of God. Acts 16:30 Repentence from sin (repentance is a military term meaning to “about face”). Acts 2:38 Baptism in water (much water) as the place where the blood of Christ is applied to the soul of the sinner, where the operation of Christ takes place, Colossians 2:11-13, where the soul is “washed in the blood” of Christ, Acts 22:16, Revelations 1:5. After baptism, the new saint is given the gift of the Holy Spirit and added to the Church of Christ by Christ, Himself!! Acts 2:36-47 Faithful attendance to the worship services of the Church, Hebrews 10:25, partaking of the Lord’s Supper EVERY Sunday, Acts 2:42, 20:7. Giving of ones financial means, time, and life 1 Corinthians 16:2, 9. Prayer as a continuous part of our day, not an interruption. We sing acapella in worship, as commanded. Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16, Hebrews 2:12, Hebrews 13:15.

We invite anyone, person, professor, or antagonist to show us where these principles are wrong in a decent and honorable discussion, public or private and would look forward to discussing the Bible with the same interest of Eternity as we expect our opponent to possess. We are not the God we serve, therefore, our worship is exactly as that of the Church of Christ in the 1^st century. Our women possess the modicum of decorum, quietness, and submissiveness in our assemblies never leading or directing them (as commanded in the writings of the apostles).
