Holy Spirit
Others do not believe HS has any active part in converting. Others believe HS an entity possessing personality, but just a mere influence or principle. Others while believing Spirit to be a personality, practically strip Him of any Deity. Two questions ask IS HS GOD? IS HS A PERSON, A LIVING ENTITY/ A PERSONALITY?
HS relegate Him to the office of a messenger boy Position: Christ went back to Heaven. Sent Spirit to reveal Word to apostles. Worked miraculously in them and in those upon they laid hands. Returned to Heaven, His work done!
HS a person define personality—one who thinks, understands, feels, comprehends, reasons, witnesses, guides, leads and forbids
POINT OF DOCTRINE---NOT A MERE INFLUENCE, IS A PERSON
Characteristics of His Personality
Has a mind 8:27 “He that searches the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit.”

IS A PERSON OF DEITY, HE IS GOD

Omniscient Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God” 1 Cor 2:10

The Present Work of the Holy Spirit
Intro. He has not gone back to Heaven to retire. He is as active today as ever. He has been assigned a job of which He is completely capable, but most do not even know what it is!!
HE WORKS AS A MEDIATE AND INTERMEDIATE
MEDIATE ---can see NOTHING between, yet know there---TOOL USED Spirit convicts through the Word. The Word is His agency. Not He, Himself. Some think because Word completed is all Holy Spirit assigned. Pentecostals make Spirit active Brethren make Word active Truth, both Spirit through Word
Work assigned Holy Spirit CONVICT world. Jno 16:7-8 no one repents just Send them a copy of Scripture. Rom 10:15-17 if so buy enough Bibles For world , go home, job done!!
How convict? Alex Campbell said; “only He who convicts knows HOW he Convicts”. Ex. Intro. A promise not understood is the same as a promise not given. A promise mis-taught is the same.
